Mahaguru Phalgunanda धर्मगुरु फाल्गुनन्द

Mahaguru Phalgunanda Kirat's spiritual Leader was born on 1942 A.D. in Illam. Because of his weak financial condition, he had experienced bitter childhood. In his early age, he joined an Army in Burma. After resigning from army, he came to Limbuwan and travel particularly the Himalayan region. With his special effots on 1931, a consensus declaration of the representatives of 17th Thum (Major areas of Limbuwan Leader's) and 10 Limbus was made, which is known as "Satya Dharma Ko Muchulka". During mid-twenties of this century, he made a big strides in popularizing Sirijonga script and bringing about social reform and religious awakening.

Though he was consecrated Jasmani and his rituals are mostly influenced by the rituals of Vedic convention, he later developed his own school of religious sect known as "Sattehangma Scet". In this sect of Kirat religion, he accommodated most of the gods and goddesses of Limbus, still maintainging the main stream traits of Limbu culture and Yumaism. He died in 1949 which caused a great loss to the Literacy development of Limbu language.
